Our life is our own to create so why not make it extraordinary. Why not challenge ourselves everyday to be extraordinary, even in the smallest ways? It does not matter what we do for a living, how much money we make, or where we live that defines how extraordinary we can be. We can change the world in the ripples we create each day through our words and actions. We can take small steps by starting to question how we are impacting the world around us. What impression we leave with people through our interactions and what influence they have. You may be thinking, well I’m an average person who leads a average life and have no means to be influential, but think about it, how are you impacted by the people around you? Does your mood change when you come across someone that has had a really bad day or is pessimistic about everything? I know personally my mood shifts downward when I interact with people like that and shifts upward when I interact with positive people. Knowing this then why would I willingly surround myself with negative people. I am not saying we all should be positive all the time, because in this day and age that is nearly impossible, but I am saying why should I pass on my bad day to someone else. I don’t know other people’s stories of where they come from or where they want to go. I do know that I want to strive for a little extraordinary everyday by being compassionate and tolerant to those around me. By trying to leave them with a smile that may brighten a day instead of a tear that may wreck someone’s day.
“Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.” – Yehuda Berg
